Behind the scenes at Tamony, we know the real life battles  when it comes to care giving and the disability world. Founding  partners Tamara and Antony are parents to a beautiful young disabled  child themselves. Much of their story is reflected in the services they  offer, as it comes from personal experience and years of it.

In 2019, the founders of Tamony Care, introduced a special  little human into the world! At the time, there was panic and confusion  and long stays in hospitals… Endless hours in waiting rooms, miles and  miles crammed into a hot car, countless needles, tears and heartbreaking  frustration. With ‘diagnosis’ after ‘diagnosis’ they knew that this was  a lifelong, life-changing path, that was/is to be walked without choice.  This didn’t deter, in fact the opposite, this brought about positive  changes and influences for the whole family! Focus, presence and  patience were now key. Time needed to be taken to adjust to the emotion  that comes with this challenging path, leading to a stronger bond in the  home. Reassurance of love to their children, who also needed to adjust  and learn a very unfamiliar, unfair path. Research and therapy visits,  blood tests and doctor appointments, were now the new norm… and getting  the RIGHT help for both their child and family became the focus. Balance was their new moto…

Some years into the confusing and tiring journey as  parents to a multi-disabled child, they decided to start looking for  others that needed help, others that where also stuck in the enormity of  the disability world, and they found them. Other families struggling to find care that is tailed to the individual and not conforming or not fitting into the box that the government/medical industry has decided to label you with.

So, alongside their day job, they started Tamony Care, a small Home care and Support organisation that aims to bring some positivity back into, what can be, a very sad and isolated life through actual help  around the home. Whether it was cleaning, getting out and about with  someone, that small maintenance job that made someones life that little  bit easier, or even just running an errand. They started doing the  things and offering the services that they felt they could use. The  things they really needed help with when the going was tough.

By moving to a small coastal town and introducing a nature based, holistic approach to their own child’s therapy program, they immediately saw improvements.  Taking the reigns and making real changes that have focused, positive  outcomes for their child and family around the child… and it started to  get incredible results! Their precious gift, the one  with too many ailments to list, was improving immensely! Immediately  they agreed, this had to be shared by encouraging others to witness it  for themselves and add a bit of Tamony Care to their lives. If they  could offer to tidy up someone’s house, while that someone was being  accompanied in a rejuvenating, nature based activity, they would have to  see some positivity too!

Through this community engagement and positive ambition, Tamony Care have built a wholesome reputation in their local home care and cleaning industry. Now offering a range of services to the community that promote positivity and a general betterment to everyone involved.
